It's not unusual for our customers to be totally committed to their family's health by choosing natural and organic foods, only to choose commercial cleaning products which are full of harmful chemicals. Why?

The main reason given is the perception that environmentally safe cleaning products don't work. This may well have been true years ago when the first products found their way onto the shelves. However, thanks to research and new technologies that is no longer the case.

Many of the cleaning products found in our kitchen, laundry and bathroom contain potentially harmful, even lethal chemicals. These chemicals can be deadly if accidentally ingested, but more than that many people, children and the elderly in particular can have allergic reaction.

Deceptive labeling is also a major concern. For example the term biodegradable is used very loosely. Technically, biodegradable means that a product breaks down. However, many things are biodegradable – EVENTUALLY! What is important is the amount of time it takes to degrade, and whether it is harmless to the environment during the process. Most natural cleaning products break down safely and quickly - usually within a month. Many non-natural products that are marked as biodegradable can take significantly longer – many years in most cases.

Have a good look at the ingredients and health warnings of the cleaning products under your kitchen sink, in your garage, in your bathroom, and on the shelves in your laundry room. Then ask yourself – do I want to expose myself and my family to this for the rest of our lives?
